Kickoff Approaches for College Football 2023

College Football is right around the corner. While it might be late June at the moment, collegiate football fans are hungry for some action with a bit more than two months to go until Week 0.

The Big 10 is routinely touted as one of the top conferences in college football, and their fans are among the rowdiest in the country.

Both Ohio State and the University of Michigan appeared in the College Football Playoff in 2023, joined by Georgia and TCU. Ohio State fell heartbreakingly to the eventual champs, and Michigan also fell to TCU in a hard-fought matchup.

Roster Revamp: OSU and Michigan’s New Lineups

While Ohio State and Michigan made it to the College Football Playoff during the 2022-2023 season, both rosters are slated to look significantly different this season. Ohio State lost a lot of their marquee players, especially their quarterback. Michigan is in a similar boat, although, they have retained more of their starting lineup.

Can the Underdogs Break Through?

One of the biggest questions that presents itself, is if any of the other teams within the conference can break through, hoping to compete for a top spot in the NCAA.

According to DraftKings’ latest odds, only Ohio State and Michigan have a projected win total of at least 10 games. Penn State has the next best odds with an over/under of 9.5 wins, with Wisconsin closely behind at 9.

There are a lot of factors at play here, including a new head coach for the Badgers, and continued player turnover. While it’s unlikely for the Big 10 to perform at the high level that they did during the 2022-2023 season, the world will certainly be waiting to see what they can accomplish.
